|
With Newslive you can monitor your positive and negative reputation scores, and compare them with your competitors, on a daily basis for all four key editorial media: press, TV, radio and the internet. What’s more, Newslive is the only editorial monitoring service to offer you a combined reputation score for these four media, our unique Cross Media Index – an at-a-glance guide to your overall PR performance. Here’s how it works For press, every news article containing a reference to your brand or your competitors’, is allocated a score by our readers based on the positivity or negativity of the coverage. This score is then contextualised based on objective statistical criteria which include, for example, the article’s overall focus, its headline, its size and its position within the publication. This process generates a rating between This is called the Article Specific Index and is unique to Newslive. The process is adapted for the other media, using the equivalent contextualising criteria. Next, the article’s score is weighted according to the size of its audience – readership for press, ratings for broadcast and page impressions for internet. |
This gives us what we call the Weighted Article Index. The WAI is available on the day of publication. Using this adjusted data, we can then create a combined media specific index for your total performance within each medium – statistically computed to allow you to make direct comparisons between eg press and internet. Finally, combining these media specific indices allows us to create our new and groundbreaking Cross Media Index (CMI). The CMI gives you an at-a-glance guide to your performance for all four editorial media combined. By mapping your CMI scores daily and monthly, say, you can accurately benchmark your short-term and long-term performance against your competitors. The CMI service will be available by the end of 2008. Use your own evaluation criteria, too No-one understands your industry as well as you do. That’s why Newslive also allows you to self-score the quality of your coverage using whichever Newslive metrics you feel are most appropriate for your marketplace and your own analytical needs. |
